Suprise Dinner!

So since or anniversary was on a wed. night, and I had a test the next day and had to study Ryan and I made plans for the weekend to go out. I still wanted to do something special for Ry so I suprised him with a romantic dinner! I made cornish game hens stuffed with wild rice and an garlic soy apricot glaze! It was soo yummy and I was really proud of myself for making it!

For dessert we had fruit and chocolate fondue! Very Romantic!

Everything was delicious! If any of you want the recipe's let me know!

4 year anniversary!

I cant beleive how fast 4 years has come and gone! Somedays it seems like we just met yesterday and others it seems like we have been married for 10 years already! I can't imagine what life was like before I met the love of my life! I first met Ryan at a bonfire and thought he was cute, but didn't talk to him. He was on one side of the bonfire by himself while everybody else was on the other. I felt bad for him because he had only been home from his mission for about a week and was still afraid of girls! Little did I know that I was going to be set up on a blind date with that same boy and wind up marrying him!

We have had many trials together with the most recent loosing the baby. Fortunatly for us these trials have only made us closer to one another and to the lord. I am so greatful for the adventures and the new life that I have begun with my one true love! It has been hard, but has also been the BEST 4 years of my life! I love you Ryan!

My last day as a duck widow! (actually it wasn't that bad!)

Ryan took some really cool pictures on the last day of the duck hunt. He went with our friend Todd to the GSL. My hubby really has a good eye for photography! (I can brag if I want to!:)
This was the gorgeous sunrise they were able to see!

These are actually salt crystals not snow!

They were driving their airboats right on the snow!
Here is a video of them riding on the snow. They were going about 35-40 mph.

The Holidays

Well I am finally posting about christmas and new years! Ryan and I had a great christmas and was able to spend it with both families. We are very blessed to have both of our parents live so close by (free baby sitters someday)! For christmas eve we went to my parents house. We always have a big pot luck dinner and get one present to open on new years and of course it is pj's! My mom (I mean Santa :) gets all the couples matching pajamas, but this year my brothers were scrooges and said they already had too many so one asked for socks (lame!), and the other got slippers! Come on guys it is tradition! (Mom I am always up for santas early present drop off!)Ryan and I with our new matching pj's! This is our humble little tree!
Brook just had to share the love!

This year for christmas Eve my family decided to start a new traditon of white elephants. I honestly don't know why we haven't started this earlier because my fam is notorious for bringing the best white elephants at party's. Emma got a really cool kite from my brother Chris and I. It had some of the Disney princesses on it. She loved it!
Unfortunatly we don't have many pics because we kept on forgetting our camera, but for Christmas morning we went to Ryans parents and had a really yummy breakfast and opened presents with eachother. I just love spending Christmas with our families!
New Years eve we were suppose to go to Ry's sisters house up in Boise and spend a few day there, but because of the weather being so unpredictable up their we decided to stay home. Instead we went to my parents house and had free steak! The next day we went with my family to Fat Cats up in ogden and bowled and had pizza! It was so cute watching my nephew Aiden and my neice Emma bowl! Emma has cerebal palsy and was in her wheel chair and got SOO excited everytime she got to push the bowling ball. Aiden was so little and every time he picked the ball up he would wobble back and forth bringing it over to the lane!
I hope everyone had a great holiday break!

Please Pray for Vandy!

I don't normally ask this much, but one of my very good friends that I have know since I was eight years old just had an emergency c-section. I won't go into details of what happened, but she was only 24 weeks along. The baby is still alive and is in the nicu at the U of U hospital. I am asking everyone who reads this to please pray for little Vandy and her family! Since I have somewhat been in this situation before with my brothers son who was born at only 26 weeks I know that every prayer helps and counts! Today my nephew is 6 years old and lively. He is a normal little boy and I know it is because of the help of the lord and all the prayers that my brother and his wife received. Please pray for them!
