The River 2011 Part 2

Sorry, I am lagging behind with my blogging! So here is The River Part 2!

While we were up at the river Maggie was able to have lots of play time with her cousins! I just loved watching them together! She is finally at the stage where she wants to play and is interested in other kids! My mom bought all the granddaughter's up there these cute "princess" skirts. They all wore them to church the next day!

We all enjoyed plenty of time with outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and four wheeling! Who knew little Emma was such a great little fisher!

(Brooke especially loved the four wheelers!)

Ryan and I were able to go out by ourselves while my parents watched Maggie for us while we fished. We didn't catch ANYTHING, however we did take the motor boat all the way up the river which we haven't been able to do for years because of how low it was! The scenery was beautiful!

Bub fishing with the boys (Aiden and his friend Tanner)

We took Maggie in her carrier pack, however I think she does better with Ryan. It's not that I can't handle the weight or anything, but Maggie LOVES to pull my hair when she is in it! I think I spent most the time looking up at the sky because she kept yanking my pony tail!

Well, until next year! (sigh....I can't wait!)

The River 2011 Part 1

Can I just say that I had such a great time this year! It was Maggie's first time up at the cabin (in Island Park, which we call the river) this year. However the weather could have been a bit more compliant with us while we were there! It rained, hailed, and had sunshine all in the weeks we were there!
This was the first day we arrived. We had to dig the snow away to get to the door!

Within one day we would go from this...

....To this!

On one of the few days that we did have sunshine we ventured into the park (yellowstone). Again it was fun for me in particular because it was Maggies first time. However I'm sure she could have cared less :)

The funny thing with her right now is she hates to be in her stroller, but LOVES to push it herself! She is such a cute little stinker!

Ryan and I also have a tradition where we take a family photo ourselves by holding out the camera! They always turn out interesting, and I always look like a gomer!

Some of the flowers started to come out while we were there! One of my favorites are the glacier lily's. Ryan took this photo. He is so talented!

He also took this one looking up the river from our dock.

Ahhh...My grandpa was so right! This is as close to Heaven on Earth that you can get!
