Favorit things list 2011

So about once a year I usually try and do a favorites list to share and where to get them. My friend inspired me yesterday to get on the ball with it because she said she loves to look at those types of blog posts.  So here is my 2011 top 10 favorite things list!

1. Targets brand Up and Up diapers.
Ryan and I first started using these when we were pretty tight on money with his job loss. We said that when he got a new job we would go back to the name brand diapers that we love, but honestly these are just as good! I love them and I think the pattern on them is so cute! I honestly believe that not all diapers work the same for everyone though, I know some people who swear by Pampers and others by Huggies. For me its all about the Up and Up brand, good quality and good on the budget!

2. Glominerals Pressed Base foundation.
This is the ultimate makeup. Its mineral so its healthy for you skin (everyone knows I'm all about healthy skincare :). It has excellent coverage and can be applied from sheer to heavy coverage, and it comes in multiple colors. Here is a link to their website gloprofessional.com. Also I will be opening up my own account with them soon so you can always order from me if you would like!

3.The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
I LOVE this series of books (the series is a trilogy). They are an easy read, and one that I find once you start reading you can't put it down. So make sure you have time to read it because everything else seems to be put on the back burner!

4. Toms shoes. I have a confession to make. As of the writing of this post I don't yet actually own a pair of Toms :(  However I don't want, but rather NEED a pair of them! They are the very very top of my x-mas list this year. EVERYONE I have talked to says they are the most comfortable shoes they own. Plus if you purchase from their website a pair is donated to someone in need! We all love charity right? (plus check out these tiny Tom's for toddlers! I'm in-love!)

5.Pravana Fresh Volumizing Dry Shampoo.
This is a pretty recent discovery, and lets just say an AMAZING discovery! I have never used dry shampoo up until very recently (lets just say I have an EXTREMELY busy and active toddler so showering is on the end of my list for the day). I love how it really volumizes my hair and is such a time saver when I wake up late (which is almost everyday) for work. If you have a professional license you can purchase it at Salon Centric, but for those who don't I believe you have to get it through a salon.

6. Hormel Turkey Pepperoni.
This is such a satisfying snack for me! It has more than half the fat of regular pepperoni. And if you are doing weight watchers it is only 2 points plus for 17 pieces, or if you are low carbing it, it has zero carbs! Yum!

7. Skinnytaste.com I LOVE this website! It has sooo many delicious and healthy recipe's. I seriously don't know what I would do with out it! One of my favorites to make is the Asian Glazed Drumsticks. At first Ryan didn't believe they were a low fat recipe! Love them!

8. Essie Nail Polish. I have to admit I have been quite an OPI girl before (and still am) but I just love the color variety of Essie's polishes! Something about them is so soft and whimsical! My newest favorite color is called Fair Game but I can't find it on their website :( However I did find a similar color called over the edge. It is a metallic blue. I think it looks so pretty on the hands!
9. I also decided to post one of my favorite product lines! I have soo many so it was very difficult to choose but the winner is Lira Cosmeceuticals! This is a new line (only been around now for about 1 year), however I absolutly LOVE them (and I have tried a lot of product lines). Lira takes the best technology from both a naural approch and a clinical and combines them to make a super amazing product. They also use a plant based stem cell technology which helps to really truly repair the skin. My favorite product they have is the PRO Lite TX with SCT (stem cell technology).
This serum not only helps to prevent hyperpigmentation, but also helps to repair and treat existing hyperpigmentation as well. It is kind of the first of its kind due to an ingredient that only they have the rights to.  (If anyone is interested in using this product let me know. I also have an account with them.)

10. My last but not least new love for 2011 is.....Flexees shapewear!
I am not afraid to admit that I use shapewear! In fact after having a baby what women hasn't worn any? Seriously? My favorite is the Tank Top, Fat Free Dressing. I love it because it is just like a camisol and I can wear it under my regular tees. It also doesn't roll at all! (which I have had that problem with other brands) Also this is much more affordable than other brands as well! Good price point and good product! I have found the best price for them at KHOL'S (they almost always have a sale), but you can also get them at JC Penny.

Halloween!!

Halloween this year was a bit more fun this year than it has been in the past. We actually took Maggie Trick or Treating (even though she couldn't figure out why people were handing her candy). We went to my brothers house and did some Trick or Treating with the cousins then had our tradition of chili and a scary movie afterwards, however we couldn't stay for the movie because Maggie was too tired! However it was still fun! Thanks Bub and Sue (and Mom and Dad) for the fun night and food!

Maggie with her cousins Mary, Aiden, and Emma

Maggie was a Troll doll this year! It was hilarious! I wish I could have gotten her to hold still long enough to take a full body shot! She had on a nude leotard with a Jewel on the belly button and everything! (I tried to make my skin look like it was falling off, but in this pic it is washed out so you can't see it so well, but it turned out pretty cool!)

If she would have kept this wig on it would have worked perfect with her costume!
